Half a small cabbage - finely sliced
Two carrots - peeled and grated
Quarter cup of mayonnaise (salad cream)
One teaspoon of Dijon mustard (optional)
One red onion - finely sliced (optional)
Salt and freshly ground pepper - to taste
Steps:
1. Place cabbage, carrot and onion in a bowl
2. Combine mustard and mayonnaise and pour into bowl
3. Season to taste
4. Toss well, to thoroughly coat salad with dressing
